Epitomised_Drummer
Carl is our resident Auckland rocker. Having played drums for more than 8 years, he is the raw powerful drum groove heard behind Auckland's own "Epitome". Carl has been studying music since he was 9, having achieved grade 8 on the piano accordion, to become one of NZ's elite Piano Accordion players. Having chosen to work mainly with drums, Carl has played anything from concert bands through to jazz, through to rock, and metal.
Carl has also played in such bands as Don't Run With Scissors, Entropy, Pawn, Ubiquitous, and now Epitome.
He has more recently been concentrating on Epitome's own success, booking tours, and gigs, and helping co-ordinate events such as "Operation Starship" (a fundraiser for Starship Childrens Hospital).
Funky*Jazza
Janise has done a few articles so far on various gigs since around October last year. Currently a student in Christchurch, she has a passion for NZ music and would like to carry on with the NZ music business as a career in the future.
She loves all sorts of music - pretty much anything that sounds good, but prefers Rock to anything else.
"NZ music has a class of its own. Nothing can compare to its fresh sounds"
Andrew
Andrew has been putting on shows and promoting bands for more than 5 years now. From 2001, he ran Local Output, a group of people who put on all ages shows on the North Shore aiming to give bands more opportunities to play and give young people more to do and places to hang out. Since then, they have changed it a bit... and use the name, 'Local Output' as the label they use to manage bands.
Since the beginning of the year, he has been the booking manager for Hibiscus Coast band 'The Rabble', booking all their shows, some of their promotion and has done some video work for the band. While his priorities now lie with 'The Rabble', he still enjoys working with bands from his area especially, and enjoys doing anything he can to help them!
Emma
Emma is our resident nesian girl, who specialises in listening to any and all music, and name dropping. Background is in sports journalism and organising summer events (mostly sporting & beauty pagents) but is trying to break into music events management. Currently though has been called back to lazing by the pool, her first love which she's missed since graduating from university. I have an opinion on everything, "just waiting till I get the call up to THE PANEL prem team"!!! What I lack in journalism tact I will make up with in pretty paparazzi pictures, Fin.
